Specialities

Nexus Corp offers an extremely flexible system for our pilots. There are many specialties you can choose from upon completing your probationary period.


What a specialty is:

A way for a pilot to stand out and define himself. The pilot looks to become the very best at his chosen specialty. Your "patch" is determined by your specialty as well.


What a specialty is not:

A guaranteed assignment. All pilots will be expected to have a core set of combat skills. Certain roles may not need to be filled on a mission and you would be required to fill in where needed.


Pilots are not required to specialize and specializing does not exclude you from running other types of missions.

Security

Recon

Logistics

The Security Specialist is a pilot who focuses on all things combat. From strike missions to bombing runs, they are always ready for a fight.




Security Specialties:


  • Heavy Escort/Fighter
  • Light Escort/Fighter
  • Heavy Bomber
  • Light Bomber
  • Marines
  • Interceptor

The Recon Specialist is a Pilot who focuses on gathering info in the field. From tracking an enemy fleet to operating a SWACS, they know what you did last sector.



Recon Specialties:


  • SWACS
  • Long Range Recon
  • Advanced Scout
  • Electronic warfare (EW) 

The Logistics Specialists is a pilot who focuses on support roles. You may find yourself rescuing a pilot in the middle of a battle or out on a deep space trade run acquiring vital supplies for the organization.


Logistics Specialties :


  • Search and Rescue (SAR)
  • Cargo/VIP Transport
  • Refueling Operations
  • Re-supply Operations

Capital Ship

CSC is for only the most hardcore members. They must be proficient at each station and are required to commit a minimum of 8 hours per week (Two 4 hour missions)


CSC Specialties:

  • Commander
  • Bridge Officer
  • On-Board Escort Fighter
  • Turret Gunner

Multi-Crew Ships

Working at vital positions and being the best at what you do it the key to being a good MCS specialist. You are a critical member of the crew and a highly  sought out individual.


MCS Specialties:

  • Radar Intercept Officer (RIO)
  • Pilot
  • Navigation
  • Communications
  • Tactical
  • Engineering
  • Turret Gunner

Marine Specialist

The Marine Specialist excels in both ground combat and boarding operations. They are the master of CQB (Close Quarters Battles) and won't blink an eyes in the face of firefight.

  • Squad Leader

  • Light Weapons
  • Medical
  • Tech/Demo Breacher
  • Comms
